Automatic small Chicken Fryer

Small Continuous Fryer" refers to an industrial-grade machine that uses a motorized conveyor system to move chicken pieces through a temperature-controlled oil bath. These are typically used by small-scale food manufacturers, large-volume catering centers, or central kitchens for fast food chains.

Unlike batch fryers (where you drop a basket and wait), a continuous fryer allows you to feed raw chicken at one end and receive perfectly fried chicken at the other.

1. Key Technical Specifications

Even "small" continuous units are significant pieces of equipment. Below are the standard specs for an entry-level continuous chicken frying line:

Specification

Typical "Small" Range

Capacity

100 kg to 300 kg of chicken per hour

Mesh Belt Width

300 mm to 400 mm (approx. 12 to 16 inches)

Machine Length

2.5 meters to 3.5 meters (approx. 8 to 11 feet)

Power Source

Electricity (380V), Natural Gas, or LPG

Heating Power

25 kW to 60 kW (Electric models)

Frying Time

Adjustable (typically 1 to 10 minutes)

Material

Food-grade 304 Stainless Steel

2. Advanced Automatic Features

A modern continuous fryer is essentially a "frying robot." Key systems include:

  • Double Mesh Belt System: Uses two belts (top and bottom). The top belt keeps chicken pieces submerged so they don't float, ensuring the chicken is cooked evenly on all sides.
  • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD): Allows you to precisely control the speed of the belt. You can slow it down for large bone-in thighs or speed it up for thin nuggets.
  • Automatic Oil Filtration: A built-in scraping system removes "fines" (loose breading/crumbs) immediately to prevent them from burning and ruining the oil quality.
  • Oil-Water Separation: Some models use a water layer at the bottom to collect food debris, keeping the oil cleaner for up to 10 times longer than traditional methods.
  • Automatic Lifting: The entire belt and hood assembly can be lifted electrically for easy deep-cleaning of the oil tank.

3. Best Uses for This Machine

Because these machines are designed for constant flow, they are ideal for:

  • Breaded Chicken Nuggets & Popcorn Chicken: High-speed throughput.
  • Chicken Wings: Consistent color and texture.
  • Chicken Patties/Burgers: Uniform thickness and cooking.
  • Pre-Frying (Par-frying): Used by businesses that partially cook chicken before freezing and shipping it to restaurants.
